Disco-Rock-Dance Parties?

Well, how is everyone today? I’ve got some brand new tasty treats for you all.

Well, as some of you might know, I am a fan of Detroit rock and no band has been Detroit-rocking harder than the Electric Six. Formerly known as the Wildbunch, they have been around since 1996. Over the years they reckon they have gone through 4 guitar players, 4 bass players, 5 keyboard players and 3 percussion masters.

They released their first full length album Fire In 2003. I heard about it through a White Stripes forum (Jack White cameos on the song "Danger! High Voltage"). The album was compared to Tenacious D quite a bit, which the band says was strange to them because there are six(or five) of them, they aren't on television and they aren't very funny.

Their second release Senor Smoke came in February 2005, but as a UK and Australia only release. It wasn’t until this month that it was released in North America (Finally).

Needless to say I was very pleased with this album. Fans of Crazy Disco-Rock-Dance Parties unite! Enjoy the Tracks!
