Baby I'm a shooting star

Almost one month ago we brought you the great news of the super Detroit rock group The Raconteurs, a band formed of Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler from the Greenhornes, as well as Jack White and Brendan Benson.

Jack White has actually been involved in a few collaborations in the past. He played guitar with The Go but they fired him eventually because he was too overbearing. He played the big riffs, so that was probably a good move. He has done an uncredited song with the Electric Six called "Danger! High Voltage." He has also collaborated with Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler when he produced Loretta Lynn’s album Van Lear Rose. The Raconteurs album Broken Boy Soldier is expected to be released May 16th. Enjoy!

I like Loretta Lynn a lot. Adam thinks I'm weird.

Say, have you guys heard of Pandora? It's a neat little program where you plug in the name of a band or song you like and it generates a play list of other things it thinks you will like. I said "pixies" and it gave me a live version of "Boys and Girls" by Good Charlotte. But it also gave me Superchunk and Fugazi. Neat-o!
